Each Committee will be charged with these responsibilities

  • To identify and develop the appropriate 10 year goals and objectives for your specific committee’s area of concentration

  • To establish your committee’s priorities for the plan rollout

  • To determine the benchmarks or metrics that will be utilized in order to measure impact and success of the recommended course of action


Leadership Committee
Project Champions

Role: Advocacy- the public face of the plan. Community Leaders and Community Stakeholders
  • Amplify the voice of the initiative in the public domain
  • Oversee the process
  • Review progress
  • Remove any barriers to moving forward
  • Provide input to ensure success

Steering Council
Decision making authority

Role: An information conduit of the sub-committee work.
  • Provide direction to the planning proces.
  • Coordinate committee and plan activities.
  • Identify strategic priorities.
  • Determine the processes and conditions needed to accomplish them.

Housing Sub-Committee

Role: Create a supportive housing strategy for the region.
  • Preserve existing inventory of supportive and affordable housing.
  • Expand the existing development capacity of supportive housing.
  • Eliminate barriers & provide incentives for development of supportive housing.
  • Sustain and expand annual state and federal investments in these areas.

Services Sub-Committee

Role: To assure comprehensive outreach, engagement and provision of services to the homeless.
  • Create a hub for case conferencing.
  • Client level problem solving - involving a seamless delivery system, continuity of care harm reduction-modeled services.

Prevention Sub-Committee

Role: Expand Affordable Housing Initiatives.
  • Establish a flexible, available supply of funds.
  • Region-wide pool to address high risk population.
  • Market available services to those who may need it most.
  • Create a stabilization strategy for low-income families.
  • Provide access to state and federal entitlements.

Income & Employment Sub-Committee
Role: Build an integrated system for homeless people to access mainstream employment services.
  • Establish a flexible, available supply of funds.
  • Region-wide pool to address high risk population.
  • Market available services to those who may need it most.
  • Create a stabilization strategy for low-income families.
  • Provide access to state and federal entitlements.
